About Dr. Bowser

Dr. Kathryn E. Bowser, MD, FACS, FSVS, RPVI is a board certified vascular surgeon in practice at ChristianaCare Vascular Specialists in Delaware. She grew up in the Delaware Valley, graduated with honors from Drexel University and Drexel College of Medicine and completed general surgery training at Christiana and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado. She returned home to serve her community. She is passionate about comprehensive patient care and values resident, student and patient education. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Jefferson University. She is working to develop Christiana’s formal comprehensive multidisciplinary aortic health center as Co-Director. She has presented and published locally and nationally on various topics within vascular surgery. She is active in numerous societies including the American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, Society of Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society, Association of Women Surgeons. She has been a reviewer for the American Journal of Surgery, Annals of Vascular Surgery, and Journal of Endovascular Therapy. She is also on the DEI committee for SVS and completed the SVS Leadership Course.  She enjoys spending time with her pack (husband, daughters, two dogs and two cats), running, writing, music (singing, guitar and bass guitar), 3D printing, art, design and photography when she isn’t caring for patients.

Capturing life in the operating room. Pictures are not posted the day of procedures. Specific consent is obtained from patients for pictures that feature patient conditions or anatomy. No identifying features of patients are shared and details are changed to protect patient identity.
